Canyon Ferry Lake
Trying to wake up with a positive attitude. Good coffee helps, but the lakes on this river are going to kick my butt...
And this is how Day 8 is going
I built what I thought was a great board, and she really does fantastic on the river. She handles rapids well, she's fast, and she's stable, even in headwinds. But the lakes are a whole other monster. There is no current, so the wind just kicks up waves and fills the board with water. Trying to get to shore to bail out makes things worse, as the waves are just crashing up on shore and as soon as I set off, I'm full of water again. I just need to make it to the marina...
